Our opinion and additional thoughts on this video.
California Guardian and Nasty Nathanial head over to Oxnard Harbor to do a 1st amendment audit. A couple of security staff approach them and it goes mostly without incident. There is a little bit of back and forth with a couple of individuals representing the facility but ultimately the auditors are left alone to complete their audit.
One of the security guards, the first one that approaches them comes out aggressively and giving Nathanial orders to stop filming him, saying that he hasn’t given permission to be on film. I’ve never understood why security guards, and officers sometimes come out so aggressively. One day someone is going to throat punch them before they even speak if they keep coming out like that.
It’s interesting to note that the facilities have signs prohibiting photography. However we all know these do not apply to the outside of the facility or anything viewable from the public.
You’ll notice too that the sign prohibiting photos and videos is posted next to a legal sign warning people entering the facility that they are subject to search. One of the signs is lawful, the other is just a policy. But they are trying to be clever by posting them next to each other. The average citizen may not realize that.
